Title: Multiple Perspectives on Battered Women and their Children Fleeing to the U.S. for Safety:
A Study of the Hague Convention

This study improves the understanding of battered mothers involved in Hague Convention cases in the U.S. and to then use this understanding to improve the legal system response to battered mothers and their children who, fleeing violent partners by crossing international borders, are subsequently respondents to Hague Convention petitions filed by their abusive partners. This study specifically addresses NIJ priorities for research to improve legal responses to intimate partner violence, particularly within diverse communities.

We will be posting reports and products of this project on this page over the coming months.
