Reports Based Off of Our National Institute of Justice Grant Research

We are currently working on compiling all of our research into reports to give back to our funder, the National Institute of Justice, as well as for general distribution. We will be posting reports and other products related to this project here over the coming months.

Title: Multiple Perspectives on Battered Women and their Children Fleeing to the US for Safety: A Study of the Hague Convention

  • This study improves the understanding of battered mothers involved in Hague Convention cases in the US and to then use this understanding to improve the legal system response to battered mothers and their children who, fleeing violent partners by crossing international borders, are subsequently respondents to Hague Convention petitions filed by their abusive partners. This study specifically addresses NIJ priorities for research to improve legal responses to intimate partner violence, particularly within diverse communities.
